I’ve been expecting you. By now, you’ve found the dead man and have an idea who he might be.
*There was a specific time that this man needed to die. It was as clear as black and white and as easy to see as the watch on a man's wrist. The minutes, in this case, are what counts.
*That time is when the mood always seems to strike. When you know what that time is you might use it to make an online purchase and see what happens. Who knows what you could learn?
You probably wonder about the sorts of resources someone like me might have behind bars and how I can communicate with you in this way. But, I can assure you that I have people who are ready and eager to do my bidding. Some of them even work for the FBI. The storm you are currently experiencing has caused its share of problems. But the reason your phone and the internet aren’t working are because I am in control of when those things work..or don’t. My friend in the Bureau happens to be a techie. It’s amazing the sorts of things they can do nowadays. You would be amazed how many people with a badge and a gun understand and support my cause to spill blood.
You have a pool of six suspects. One of them is my devoted disciple, an acolyte who hopes to take their place at my right hand. They have been in communication with me, and I have given them specific instructions. They have provided you with some things at my request to help you better understand me. They aren’t aware of the contents of what I have instructed them to deliver to you. That’s part of the game for me. How fun is it to have them unwittingly provide information to you that might actually seal their own fate?
Let me explain further. It’s very dull and monotonous where I am here in prison. Because of that, I’m willing to help you narrow the field. It makes it interesting for me and tests my acolyte to see if he or she is truly up to the task of taking up my mantle. Think of this as a job interview of sorts, an internship to see if he or she has what it takes to cut it.
My acolyte will leave things for you to figure out that will help you eliminate members of your suspect pool. They just won’t know they are doing it. My followers are so devoted and fervent that they will blindly do my bidding without question.
*Nobody really knows why I did the things that I did to those five people. But the motives can be gained through a bag of items that my follower has left in the hands of your victim. These are the keys to finding out what you need to know, Sheriff. As you discover the motive for each murder I committed, I'll reveal a bit of information that will help you solve the murder you are investigating.
Once upon a time, I was told I had two years to live. That was two years ago. And yet, here I am.
*****You may now open the manila envelope I have left for you.*****

Victim 1: Elise Taylor/Secretary
On the day I killed her, I kept getting the same message over and over again: "Find a beautiful woman." Elise Taylor was the first one to cross my path.
I took some white out off of her desk as a souvenir. It's good for correcting colors.

Victim 2: Kendra Vance/local newscaster
When the universe told me how to choose my next kill, she immediately popped into my mind. We matched on a dating app, and she was incredibly mean to me. After I cut her, I took that coin purse out of her handbag and kept it as a trophy. With that, her debt was paid in full.

Victim 3: Raj Patel/photo lab technician
The message to kill came exactly as the other two did. The logical choice was the photo tech who recognized my first two victims in the roll of film I dropped off and threatened to call the cops. I took my film canister back from him after I stabbed him repeatedly. It was child's play.

Victim 4: Nancy Bennett/casino dealer
I hit up the casino for a night of excess after learning the cancer had spread to my brain. The blackjack dealer flirted with me and convinced me to buy a ticket to The Four Hearts Club which is for high-rollers only. I think she was toying with me. Her mistake.

Victim 5: Nicholas Mutoz/security guard
The last message came fresh off the news I had received the month before. Why was this guy patrolling a storage facility anyway? It seems like he was trading one problem for another. Like trading 1 letter for another.
It's weird that this guy's name has the same number of letters as "Security Guard."
Do you know what inspired me to kill?
